NVI Workshop on “Sabin-IPV: Challenges and Benefits”, 28-30 June 2010

The International Sabin-IPV workshop was organized in Bilthoven from June 28 up to June 30, 2010 within the framework of the Sabin-IPV project. This project is a collaboration between World Health Organization (WHO) and the Netherlands Vaccine Institute (NVI).

 

The main aim of the workshop was to give enough insight to the participants in order to be able to decide on future investment in Sabin-IPV. During the Sabin-IPV workshop 27 participants from fifteen vaccine manufacturers in 6 different low- and middle income countries were present. A very well organized workshop and a great network event!!

 

During the workshop different aspects related to (Sabin)-IPV were covered: production, quality control, regulatory, clinical, (Bio)risk, containment, facility design, WHO/ EP guidelines, Polio eradication…. etc.
